A Hybrid LED Monument Sign Designed Around Local Sign Rules

PixaClear LED used one full digital LED screen, configured so one half continuously displays the LIT logo while the other half remains flexible for changing messages, photos, and video.

The challenge

Create a consistent brand presence and flexible content on one digital screen.

New Buffalo Township’s ordinance limits the maximum area of a monument sign that can be used for changing digital content. The business needed a highly visible sign with a reliable logo display and a place for promotions, opening messages, and future updates.

PixaClear LED used one full digital LED screen and configured it in software as two halves. The LIT logo remains permanently displayed on one half, while the other half is available for the customer to change photos, video, and messages.

Behind the scenes

Configured and tested as a complete sign before installation.

The full digital LED screen and monument structure were assembled in the shop so the team could check fit, alignment, illumination, and the permanent-logo and dynamic-content configuration before the sign went to the site.

The design solution

One full digital screen, configured for two distinct jobs.

Local requirements limited how much of the monument sign could be used for changing digital content, so the design needed a clear balance between permanent branding and flexible messaging.

There is no separate static panel in this sign. PixaClear LED used software and configuration to keep the LIT logo permanently displayed on half of the full digital screen. The other half remains dynamic, giving the customer the ability to change photos, video, promotions, and other messages whenever needed.

The display was also configured for compliant content behavior, including static messages, instant transitions, and controlled timing between changes.

Installed result

One monument sign, two complementary jobs.

During the day, the permanent logo display anchors the brand while the other half of the digital screen carries the current customer message. At night, both halves remain clear and visible from the road: one consistent for identity and one flexible for changing content.

Scheduled operation

Automatic startup and a 9:00 p.m. shutdown keep the display on schedule.

PixaClear LED programmed the digital screen to start automatically at 9:00 a.m. and shut down at 9:00 p.m., matching the property’s operating schedule.

Scheduling removes the need for staff to remember the display every day and prevents it from running later than intended. Operating windows can vary by property, zoning district, permit, and business hours, so PixaClear LED confirms those conditions for each installation rather than applying one schedule to every project.
